- License Data: License key and verification status stored locally in your browser.
- Tab Data (AI Feature Only): When using AI classification, page URLs and titles are temporarily sent to our server for categorization. This data is processed in real-time and not stored or logged.
- Sync Data (Pro Only): If you enable cloud sync, your category settings are stored on our servers.

3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Gumroad: Merchant of Record for payments. They handle checkout, tax compliance, and billing. We do not store payment details. Gumroad Privacy Policy
- Google Cloud / Firebase: Server infrastructure located in the United States.
- OpenAI (Pro Users Only): Tab titles and URLs are sent to OpenAI API for categorization. Data is processed per OpenAI's API data policy and is NOT used to train models.
4. Data Retention
- License data: Stored locally until you deactivate or uninstall the extension.
- AI processing data: Not retained. Processed in real-time only.
- Sync data: Retained until you delete your account or request deletion.
5. Data Transfer
Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States where our servers are located. By using our service, you consent to this transfer.
6. Cookies and Tracking
The SmartTab Organizer extension does not use cookies or tracking technologies. Our website may use essential cookies for functionality.
7. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
